June 8, 1999: IRBA comments on NPS Record of Decision

The Record of Decision approving the General Management Plan / Environmental Impact Statement for Isle Royale National Park was signed on May 11, 1999. The Record of Decision claims to be "… a concise statement of the decisions made, other alternatives considered, the basis for the decision, the environmentally preferable alternative, and the mitigating measures developed to avoid or minimize environmental harm."

If you have toured through our site you know how IRBA feels about the adequacy of the GMP/EIS and the Record of Decision that approved it. But, don't take our word for it. You can read the Record of Decision at the NPS web site, or look at our copy.
